When: Saturday, August 20, 2011

What:  Float 12 beautiful river miles from Harpham Flat to Sandy Beach.  Along the way we'll run some class III+ rapids.

Where:  Maupin City Park in Maupin, Oregon http://www.cityofmaupin.com/VisitorInfo/CityPark/tabid/76/Default.aspx 

Schedule:

·         9:00 am - for those coming in Saturday meet us at the Maupin City Park in Maupin, Oregon

·         9:30am - carpool all people up to Harpham Flats 10:00am - load up rafts & get on the river (a class 3 and class 4 on this leg)

·         11:30am - arrive at city park for lunch and to shuttle additional vehicles

·         12:30pm - goal time to trying to get back on the water to keep on schedule

·         1:00pm - longer leg with stops to scout the big rapid and for swimming

·         4:30pm - we want to reach Sandy Beach by this time to keep on schedule

·         6:00pm - Mass at St Mary's in Maupin  http://www.dioceseofbaker.org/PARISH_PAGES/dufur.htm#St

·         7:00pm - Dinner back at the campsite

Costs:         $50 for Rafting

Travel: for those who want to travel together, we will set up a carpool/ caravan from somewhere in the Tri-Cities.
